Located in the heart of the downtown area, this local brew house offers more than a dozen of their custom brews and a nice variety of typical pub food items. For this visit with around 10 flavors to choose from, Hot Garlic Parm and house special BCBP Wings were the pick. Always looking for uniqueness, the BCPB wings were a must with the sauce having a combination of Hot Sauce, BBQ, Arugula, Balsamic Glaze and Blue Cheese Crumbles. Both orders had great presentation and were served crispy and piping hot with steam rolling off the bone. The Hot Garlic Parm had a good balance of flavors and were what you would expect but could have used just a little more heat. If unique is what you seek, the combination of flavors for BCBP Wings is definitely worth a try. They had an almost true medium heat level and you could pick up on the different flavors. One thing that was not listed on the menu was that they were finished on the charbroiler (not a fan) and in this case were slightly over charred. The blue cheese failed miserably on both the pour test and the stand up challenge. If you’re in Hamburg and looking for some wings and a tasty craft beer ( no commercial beer available) to wash them down, then be sure to stop in at Butera’s with the BCBP wings getting a 7.50 and the Hot Garlic Parm an easy 8.25 out of 10.
