Monroe St Brick & Brew – GrubMaster Rated 7.25

This brick oven pizza establishment also offers wings cooked in the oven with a few other items and a selection of craft brews. Always opting for crispy wings, there was some apprehension about being oven baked. These wings were cooked to a mostly crispy finish with just some minor portions of the skin a little soft. However, they were by far some of the most juicy and tender and fall off the bone wings ever. Possibly starting with a fresh never frozen wing… ? not sure but they had great texture and flavor. Their Hot sauce had a reasonable medium-hot heat profile and was a great complement to the wings. The blue cheese was somewhat lacking and failed the pour test with no veggies to attempt the stand up challenges. Also a shout out to their thin crust pizza which is likely the best in the surrounding area. Don’t miss this stop if in the area with brick oven cooked wings getting a 7.25 out of 10.
