If you’re looking for a local dive bar with a super friendly atmosphere, look no further. They have a simple pub style menu but the amazing thing is the 81 flavors of wing sauces to choose from. That’s right, 81 flavors! Being a first timer it takes a little while to go through all the selections but they do provide a brief description of each one to help you out. Another nice option is that you can split a single order of 10 into 2 flavors. So, after much debate it was a double order with 2 rubs and 2 sauces : Old Bay with Garlic, Castro’s Cuban, Stingin’ Honey Garlic and Sizzlin’ Loganberry. All orders were served hot and crispy. The Old Bay and Garlic were the least favorite as you could tell the flavor was there but was lacking in intensity. The Stingin’ Honey Garlic had a real good flavor balance with a mild heat and a good balance. The Castro’s Cuban rub had a several flavors going on with a really good heat level for a dry rub and a slight smokiness. The favorite for this visit was the Sizzlin’ Loganberry. This sauce was thick and stuck perfectly to the wings with a definite Loganberry flavor and a strong medium heat. The blue cheese was standard issue barely passing the stand up challenge but failing the pour test. With so many unique flavors a follow-up visit is definitely in order with the Old Bay & Garlic getting a 6.5, Stingin’ Honey Garlic a 7.0, Castro’s Cajun 7.5 and Sizzlin’ Loganberry an easy 8.5 out of 10.
